About me
You’ve worked hard to survive — and maybe even to heal. But lately, something’s shifted. Familiar habits are creeping back in: drinking more, zoning out, endless scrolling, lying awake at night. You might be starting to unpack things you’ve carried since childhood, and it’s hard to know what’s true and what just kept you safe. You’re not looking to be fixed — you want space to be fully yourself, in all your contradictions, grief, humor, and strength. If that sounds like you, or if you’re just beginning to ask different questions about your life, this might be the right place to start.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I know what it’s like to navigate systems that weren’t built with you in mind. I bring that lived understanding to my work with clients who are exploring identity, healing from trauma, and reclaiming the truths that have always been theirs. I work with people who are carrying pain in both the body and the psyche and are ready to explore what healing could look like on their own terms. You might be managing a mental health diagnosis or feeling the weight of burnout. Maybe you’re questioning your relationship to alcohol or drugs. Or you’re working to make sense of your experience of gender, neurodivergence, or chronic illness. Whatever you’re carrying, our work together can help you reconnect with clarity and strength.
I’m not the kind of therapist who stares at you in silence — I show up fully. My work is grounded in deep listening, humor, and trust. Therapy with me might include laughter, creating new rituals for yourself, or practicing how to feel safe in your body again. When you’re ready, we can also work with EMDR to process the memories or beliefs that are still holding pain in place — or we can start by just getting grounded and curious together. I’ve spent years in spaces where people are rebuilding from trauma — including serving addiction communities, harm reduction programs, and queer/trans support networks. My practice is shaped by those lived lessons, evidenced-based practices, and a feminist counseling framework.
Starting therapy can be daunting — especially if you’ve been dismissed or misunderstood in the past. If something in this resonates, I invite you to reach out. I’m currently accepting new clients and offer virtual sessions via video or phone. I’m available for afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments. I also offer free consultations so we can make sure it feels like the right fit. You don’t have to keep pushing through on your own. Let’s talk about what healing might mean for you — and how we can walk that path together.
Ulika is under the Supervision of Dr. David Lane LMFT.
