About me

Hello, I’m Kat!

I believe the practice of being alive is a vibrant expression of all our parts, and healing begins with awareness of our inner world, our relationships, and the ways we’ve learned to relate in response to others. The way we show up in the world is shaped not only by who we are, but by trauma, attachment wounds, and patterns of self-silencing that can pull us away from ourselves. In therapy, I help clients deepen their understanding of these patterns, reconnect with their inner world, and move toward a more grounded, authentic way of being.

My background is in neurobiology, as I started my career in the healthcare field. After working in research for some time, I followed my heart to patient care where I worked several years at an acupuncture clinic. I later completed my counseling education at Agnes Scott College, a program I chose based on its emphasis on holistic and multicultural concerns.

My clinical work is informed by Gestalt therapy, attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, and somatic approaches that support deeper connection between mind, body, and spirit. I weave my background in neurobiology with an emphasis on intuition, embodiment and the therapeutic relationship itself as a space for healing and growth. My goal is to help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and alignment with themselves and their lives. Coming to therapy can be a daunting process, and part of my work is helping you build the confidence within yourself to have strength in uncertain spaces.

I provide individual therapy to adolescents, adults and couples, in person and virtually. Reach out to me if you would like to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we could be a good fit working together.

Kat is under the supervision of Erica Webb, MS, LPC, ACS (LPC013467).
