About me
Hello! I’m Sara. I specialize in working with Autistic and ADHD folks, particularly those who were late diagnosed, self-identified, or experiencing burnout after years of masking, pushing through, or trying to meet expectations that were never designed for their nervous system. Many people I work with have also experienced chronic stress or trauma, including developmental, relational, or identity-based trauma, which can make it harder to feel safe in your body, trust yourself, or feel connected to yourself and others.
You may have learned to cope by overriding your needs, minimizing sensory discomfort, or striving for perfection—only to find that these strategies no longer work. Beginning therapy and turning toward experiences that have felt overwhelming, confusing, or “too much” can feel intimidating. My goal is to offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space where we can gently explore your experiences, reconnect with your authentic self, and build ways of living that feel more sustainable and supportive of who you are. Together, we may focus on understanding your unique needs, developing self-accommodations, exploring sensory experiences, and reframing past and present experiences through a lens that honors neurodivergence rather than pathologizing it.
I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and neurodivergent-affirming perspective, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I take a relaxed and collaborative approach, often incorporating humor and metaphor, and draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. My background includes work with Autism, ADHD, Complex PTSD, grief, anxiety, perfectionism, LGBTQIA+ concerns.
I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults, both in person and virtually. If you’re interested in working together, I invite you to reach out for a brief phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit!
